About us

Security backlog is the attack surface. Those mundane tasks that keep getting deferred quietly compound — access reviews that slip, compliance evidence collection, updating procedure docs, onboarding cycles that drag, abandoned accounts that linger — until they show up at the center of an incident investigation.

AI hasn't fixed this. It made it worse. The copilot got faster. The task backlog got longer. The human is still the bottleneck.

Lume is different. We capture how your organization actually operates — its policies, its people, its institutional knowledge — and put it to work. AI agents embedded in the tools security teams already use automate entire categories of work. The agents get stuff done so the human can focus on what they’re great at - thinking creatively and exercising judgement.

We just came out of stealth. We’re building with customers. We raised our first round. Now we need you to keep up with demand.

What you’ll work on

You’ll work at the intersection of graph intelligence, agentic automation, and building directly with customers. Some days are planned. Others start with a customer call and end with a working prototype.

Build the intelligence graph. Capture how organizations actually make decisions — mapping policies, approvals, exceptions, and institutional knowledge across every data source a customer runs. The boring work exists because this context is missing. You’ll make it findable.
Design agentic workflows. Our agents don’t follow static playbooks — they reason through organizational context and construct the right approach on the fly. You’ll build the engine that makes autonomous action possible, safe, and useful.
Ship from customer conversations. You’ll be in calls with security leaders. When something surfaces, you turn it into a working experiment before the next meeting. The loop from insight to demo should be hours, not weeks.
Stay ahead of the frontier. Graph theory, context engineering, agentic orchestration — you’ll track what’s actually moving the needle and integrate it before our competitors know it exists.

What you bring

You think in systems and relationships. When someone describes a workflow, you’re already modeling the graph.
You can talk to a CISO and a junior analyst in the same afternoon and come back with a clear direction from both conversations.
Proficient in data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You can build the plumbing, not just the model.
You build and refine fast. You're not waiting for a perfect spec to exist before digging in.
Proficient in Python, Typescript both with and without LLM coding support.

Bonus: You’ve worked in or near security. You know what good corporate security looks like and can share your ideas on how to address it.
